Jake Workman: Guitar, Banjo and Mandolin teacher/ performer

Jake Workman is a full-time musician, performing and doing session work around the state and country while also teaching private lessons in Sandy, UT. He graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Guitar Performance from the University of Utah.  While having studied music formally in school, much of his learning has come from "on the job" experience using his skills over many genres.  He plays guitar, banjo and mandolin professionally and has won many awards on each.  Jake made the top five in the National Flatpick Guitar Contest in Winfield, KS in 2009.  He placed 2nd in the National Banjo Contest twice in both 2010 and 2011, also in Winfield, KS.  He is also the 2010 1st place Texas State Flatpick Guitar and Banjo champion.  His main group, Driven, is based out of western Kansas and performs at various festivals and venues in the mid-west and throughout the country year-round.  You will also see him with the Jake and Rebekah Workman Band and the Aaron Ashton Band.
